Gould’s Academic Quiz Team competes in NAQT-style tournaments through the Maine Quiz Bowl Alliance (MEQBA) — going head-to-head with schools from across the state each month in fast-paced matches that test knowledge in literature, science, history, the arts, geography, current events, and more.

We’re thrilled to share that Gould has qualified once again for High School Quiz Show: Maine! 🎉
This marks our 6th appearance on the televised competition, which will air on Maine PBS this March — be sure to tune in and cheer on your classmates!

And that’s not all — following a strong showing at our home meet (the MEQBA Season Opener), Gould has also qualified for the SSNCT — the Small School National Championship Tournament — in Chicago this April! 🏆✈️

Our team has a proud history of success:
🌟 SSNCT Nationals in Chicago — 2023, 2024, and now 2025!
🌎 #1 in Maine at the Academic WorldQuest State Championship (2021), where we represented Maine at Nationals in Washington, DC.
🏅 NAC (National Academic Competition) participants in 2025, showcasing Gould’s knowledge and teamwork on the national stage.
